ABOUT SWEEP

The CDFA's State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP) provides grant funding to growers looking for projects to save water or reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Lucky for you, both Tule Actual Evapotranspiration sensors and CropX soil sensors are eligible for funding through SWEEP.

SWEEP looks very different this year than it has in the past. The CDFA is piloting a new block grant program to help with the administrative demand that comes with additional funds. Organizations applied to become Block Grant Recipients (BGRs) and receive funds from CDFA. These entities will conduct their own SWEEP application processes with growers. CDFA is allocating $40M to the block grant pilot program.

Growers will also have the option to submit applications directly to CDFA as they have in previous years. CDFA has announced that we can expect the application window to open in November.

If you've been following Tule, you know that there are some things you ought to have started on already:
1. Think of projects you'd like to implement.
2. Collect bids from vendors. That's us! Email us for a bid.
3. Schedule a pump efficiency test.
4. Collect your energy use records from the last year.

LEARN FROM INDUSTRY EXPERTS

Tule, HotSpot AG, and Innovative Ag Services have teamed up to educate growers about SWEEP and share how to save water and energy. It’s best to prepare for the application process BEFORE the application window opens.

These industry experts have gathered together to help growers successfully submit SWEEP applications. Watch the recorded webinar below to learn more about SWEEP, get tips to kickstart your application, and start thinking about a couple of technologies that can help you save water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
